Olá mundo!

Já faz um bom tempo que não digo nada. É fácil esquecer de escrever quando se está a viver com intensidade... Mas quero contar-vos o que tenho sentido até agora na experiência de SVE com o CALA!

Quando se está num projecto de SVE há duas dimensões essenciais da experiência: Aquilo que damos ao projecto e aquilo que recebemos. Entre Workshops, Acampamentos, Formações e tarefas informáticas e criativas, tem sobrado, ainda assim, tempo para reflectir sobre tudo o que estou a aprender com a ideologia do CALA, e com este projecto de SVE em particular.

Como sempre me interessou a "Educomunicação", porque, a comunicação social é uma fonte educativa por excelência, sempre foi do meu desejo participar activamente para diminuir os seus efeitos adversos, e contribuir para uma melhor consciência crítica. Falando em bom Português, sempre me indignou a "lavagem cerebral" a que todos somos sujeitos estando continuamente expostos a uma panóplia de informação audiovisual que, de várias formas, nos ensina a ser quem somos, a gostar de que gostamos, a reagir, a actuar, enfim, a definir as coordenadas da nossa vida obedecendo a determinadas leis criadas por uma maioria...que no fundo...não está assim tão preocupada com o nosso bem estar e evolução, mas sim com aquilo que pode lucrar com a forma como os definimos.

O projecto Objetiv@, que já vai na sua 3ª edição, tem feito precisamente aquilo que eu almejo fazer no futuro: Dar voz às minorias, confrontar as mentes com as contradições da informação, e , sobretudo, ensinar-nos a questionar estas leis pré-estabelecidas sobre como devemos ver o mundo, e participar activamente na sua mudança.

Noutra parte, o caminho da história da humanidade, e a minha presença no CALA, uma associação com um enfoque feminista, não podiam ter sido melhor coincidência. Não que eu antes ignorasse que a situação da Igualdade de Género e a sociedade patriarcal em que vivemos estivessem muito longe de uma mudança efectiva, mas faz uma diferença colossal estar na presença de quem luta há anos com as mais variadas ferramentas para uma sociedade mais justa e respeitadora dos direitos humanos. De facto, há pequenas coisas que são invisíveis aos nossos sentidos, mas que continuam a contribuir para a violência de género, e pequenas coisas que podemos fazer para mudar esta situação. Mas sobre este assunto, não me alongarei mais: Aguardem o programa de rádio em que eu e a Marie vamos reflectir sobre este assunto !

Hello World!

It's been a long time since I've said anything. It is easy to forget to write when you are living with intensity ... But I want to tell you what I have felt so far in the EVS experience with CALA!

When you are in an EVS project there are two essential dimensions of the experience: What we give to the project and what we receive. Between workshops, camps, formations and computer and creative tasks, there is still time to reflect on everything I am learning from the ideology of CALA, and with this particular EVS project.

As I have always been interested in "Educommunication", because the media is an educational source par excellence, it has always been my desire to actively participate to reduce its adverse effects, and contribute to a better critical awareness. Speaking in good Portuguese, I have always been mad with the "brainwashing" to which we are all subjects being continually exposed to a panoply of audiovisual information that, in many ways, teaches us to be who we are, to like what we like, to react, to act...to define the coordinates of our life obeying certain laws created by a majority ... that in the bottom ... is not so concerned with our well-being and evolution, but with what can profit from how we define them.

The Objectiv@ project, which is already in its 3rd edition, has done precisely what I aim to do in the future: To give voice to minorities, to confront minds with the contradictions of information, and, above all, to teach us to question these pre-established rules on how we should see the world, and actively participate in its change.

Elsewhere, the path of human history, and my presence at CALA, an association with a feminist focus, could not have been a better coincidence. Not that I did not know before that the situation of Gender Equality and the patriarchal society in which we live were far from an effective change, but it makes a colossal difference being in the presence of those who have been fighting for years with the most varied tools for a more fair society and respectful of human rights. In fact, there are small things that are invisible to our senses, but that continue to contribute to gender violence, and little things we can do to change this. But on this subject, I will not linger any longer: Wait for the radio show on which Marie and I are going to reflect on this subject!
